At Vestly in Rollag municipality, an innovative project is taking shape with a new Health Center that includes a sensory garden, staff base and common areas. This comprehensive health center houses administration areas, staff facilities and 18 apartments. The health center is located in an established residential area, and its design harmonizes with the existing buildings in the surroundings. The choice of materials mainly consists of wood both externally and internally to create a warm and homely atmosphere for residents, visitors and employees.

The project has been a collaboration with Rollag municipality and technical advisers. In order to maximize the site, terrain changes have been made, where digging to the south and filling to the west have been carried out without affecting the neighbours' view or solar conditions.

A sensory garden has been designed with light coming in from the south and west, and parts of the outdoor areas will be covered over to ensure that the residents can enjoy the outdoors all year round. This project wants to have a holistic approach to health and care infrastructure, where well-being and adaptation to the terrain are emphasized.
