Desert Delta cabin

Joshua Tree, California

Desert Delta cabin

In the desert of Joshua Tree, California, a new and unique single-family home is taking shape, just 15 minutes' drive from Joshua Tree National Park. This unique place experiences extreme weather conditions, with summer temperatures that can reach 45 degrees Celsius and winter temperatures down to minus 10 degrees Celsius. The desert area has an average of only 10 rainy days a year, and the weather is mainly dry and cloudless, which makes the area a favorite place.

The house is planned around a communal garden with facilities where all rooms will have a panoramic view of the unique mountain and nature area. The project's design elements, such as the roof, external walls and outdoor space, are designed to create a unique and pleasant atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. The project is being developed in collaboration with local building contractors who work with traditional building methods, at the same time integrating materials and building processes to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption, making Desert Delta Homestead a sustainable and cost-effective building project.
